Suzana is a highly versatile, professional and an emerging expert in Development and Agriculture having rendered employment-based service to Local and International Organizations in Tanzania. She is endowed with good analytical and problem solving skills. Her expertise includes policy analysis, conomic analysis, value chain analysis as well as Project planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning.

Suzana has practically worked on both; qualitative and quantitative research methods and has developed appreciable skills from the conceptualization/formulation of research objectives, translation into research questions, preparation of data collection tools, sampling, data collection, analysis, interpretation of results and technical reporting. She is adequately conversant with key computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Power Point and Statistical Package for Social Science Software (SPSS).

4. Summary of work experience

Suzana is an Assistant Research Fellow under the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at Sokoine University of Agriculture. Currently, Suzana is on PhD studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture focusing on policy analysis on the use of low quality water in food crops irrigation expecting to accomplish in November 2017. She has consistently worked in the Development projects for about 8 years.

Suzana worked as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer with Fundacion Paraguaya Tanzania where she served as technical personnel in the overall monitoring of program progress including data collection and management of the programme’s M&E database. Fundación Paraguaya implemented a financially self-sufficient school model with two formal NGO-run schools in Tanzania one was teaching the national secondary school curriculum prescribed by the central government of Tanzania and the other operated within the formal Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) system.

More over; Suzana has worked with the University of Minnesota as a consultant in the capacity of data collection supervisor in a in a longitudinal study for the MasterCard Foundation Learn, Earn and Save Initiative where the University was contracted as an external evaluator. The position enabled her to successfully supervise various data collection exercises whereby different methodologies were used in gathering information from the respondents.
