The Sokoine University of Agriculture Centre for African and International Languages (SUA-CAIL) conducted an outreach activity on October 12, 2024 at Solomon Mahlangu Campus in Morogporo. The activity aimed at supporting secondary school language teachers in Morogoro. These teachers are members of the Tanzania English Language Teachers’ association (TELTA), Morogoro Chapter. The event was a one-day training session focused on “Scientific Proposal Writing: Responding to Conference Calls.” During this training, participants were equipped with essential skills for crafting effective scientific proposals, specifically targeting conference submissions. The initiative was designed to enhance the teachers’ academic writing capabilities and foster their participation in regional and international academic forums. This outreach effort represents SUA-CAIL’s ongoing commitment to professional development and capacity building within the local teaching community.
