Salumu Iddy Khamisi is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Language Studies (DLS), College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He received a Bachelor of Arts in Language Studies, specialising in Linguistics and English and French languages, as well as a Master of Arts in Linguistics, specialising in Applied Linguistics, from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Currently, he is teaching communication skills and French courses at the Sokoine University of Agriculture. He is also teaching English and French short courses at the SUA Centre for African and International Languages (SUACAIL), hosted by the DLS. Due to his outstanding working performance, in the years 2010 and 2014 consecutively, Salumu was awarded a prize as the Best Worker of the DLS.

The title of the dissertation was “An Investigation of the Effectiveness of the Application of the Learner-Centered Approach in the French Language Teaching in Ordinary Level Public Secondary Schools in Tanzania: A Case of Dar es Salaam Region”.
