Onesmo Simon Nyinondi

Professional biography

Onesmo Simon Nyinondi (PhD) is an experienced  English language instructor and an editor who holds a B.A. in Education and an M.A. and PhD in linguistics. Dr Nyinondi focuses on language and communication skills with several years of teaching English as a Second and Foreign Language and Communication Skills courses. Besides, he has considerable experience teaching academic writing and  English for effective communication. His researches deal with language education, discourse analysis, African/Bantu languages, indigenous Knowledge and multimodal communication. Dr Nyinondi is a Lecturer heading the Department of Language Studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture and a Coordinator for SUA- Center for African Languages. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Tanzania English Language Teachers’ Association(TELTA) Newsletter and is a member of several professional networks. In addition, Dr Nyinondi supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research and serves as a reviewer for several outstanding Journals.
