Bachelor of Rural Development students during the 36th graduation ceremony on 18th December 2020
During the 36th Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Graduation ceremony conducted on 18th December 2020, about 2921 students were awarded degrees at SUA. The University Awarded Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) to 37 students. In addition, 119 students were awarded masters degrees; 3 Postgraduate Diploma in Education; and 2762 students were Awarded undergraduate degrees. In the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH), 167 students were Awarded degree in Bachelor of Rural Development; 12 students were Awarded Master of Arts in Project Management and Evaluation; 1 student graduated in Master of Arts Rural Development and 10 students were Awarded PhD in Rural Development.
The College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) train students to become problem solvers in order to address contemporary societal challenges. Most of our students work as Community Development Officers, Development Planners and Policy Analysts as well as entrepreneurs. Others are employed as Project Managers and Planners.
