Introduction: anthropology definition and context, relation to other sciences; The concept of society: definition of society, theories of society; The concept of culture: definition of culture, components of culture, social control; Culture and the conservation of natural resources: indigenous technical knowledge and natural resources, examples of how culture is used in management of natural resources.
