Introductory Sociology

Prerequisite:     None

Course Contents:
Origin and development of sociology; branches of sociology: rural sociology, industrial (urban) sociology, medical sociology etc. basic sociological concepts and their use: society, social structure, social capital, social organization, socialization, social control, social status, social stratification, culture, social roles, social interaction, forms of division of labour in society, and social institutions.
