Content:
Definition of common terms in statistics; levels of measurement of variables (nominal, ordinal, interval, ratio); Independent, dependent, continuous and discrete variables; Application of MS-Excel for data entry, simple equations, preparation of graphs and their interpretation; Use of SPSS for data entry, saving, retrieving and editing, data coding for entry into SPSS, data transformations and normality testing, descriptive and inferential statistics (univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyses) using SPSS, Estimation and hypothesis testing, Use and Interpretation of SPSS outputs including chi-square, correlation coefficients, t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple linear regression coefficients
