Principles of agricultural and agribusiness finance. The financial system of an economy (country), various types of financial institutions, rural and urban financial markets and institutions. The role played by financial institutions in agriculture and agribusiness development. Types of loans and financial institutions’ policies and requisites such as collateral and real and nominal interest rates. Elements of financial management of agribusiness enterprises, financial statements and financial ratios analyses. Cash-flow management and loan repayment approaches. Micro and Rural finance/financial institutions and their relevance to small and medium scale agribusiness enterprises.
