Anosisye Mwandulusya Kesale, best postgraduate student during the 40th graduation convocation ceremony
Kesale excelled in terms of publications over and above the requirements set by the Tanzania Commission of Universities (TCU) for the postgraduate students. The Commission requires that a postgraduate student should have at least published three articles in peer-reviewed journal before graduating. Kesale has published 6 peer reviewed journal articles in 2022 and the other one in the year 2021. Thus, in total he has published 7 peer reviewed papers during his PhD studies period, Kesale registered for his PhD studies on 21. Nov 2019 and graduated on 25th November 2022, that’s exactly three years.
Those articles have been published in journals with high impact factors. Examples of such publishers with high impact factor include PLOS Global Public Health, PLOS ONE, Global Health Action (Taylor & Francis) and Health Science Reports (Wiley), just to mention a few.
The College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) and the entire university community is so proud of this achievement and advance a congratulatory note to both the student (Anosisye Mwandulusya Kesale) and the supervisors (Prof. Christopher Mahonge and Dr. Mikidadi Muhanga ) for having attained this extraordinary milestone. It is encouraged that similar efforts should be emulated by the rest of the members of the community. It should also be noted that the supervision team managed to graduate this candidate within exactly three years.
